L'artiste du mois de janvier est la photographe Léa Grantham. Elle a récemment gradué de l'Université de Concordia en 2015 avec un baccalauréat en photographie. Elle complète maintenant une maîtrise en études visuelles [Studio] à l'Université de Toronto.
Ses oeuvres se concentrent surtout sur le portrait; des séries d'images faisant référence aux interactions entre individus, face à l'espace et à leurs relations interpersonnelles.
Elle s'intéresse aux perceptions que nous avons de nos espaces, des gens qui nous entourent, à la construction d'une maison et à l'appropriation d'un lieu. Son travail comprend la photographie, l'installation et la vidéo. Elle utilise les espaces de tous les jours en tant que toile de fond.

Our January artist is photographer Léa Grantham. Léa has very recently completed her bachelors degree in Photography from Concordia University and is now wrapping up her masters degree in Visual Studies from Toronto University. Her window installation will play with the sense of space, the photograph set up will fill the vitrine space and show a view from (outside/inside) at the same time.
The extent of her work focuses on portraiture; producing a series of images dealing with interactions between individuals both spatially and through their relationship. She is interested in the perceptions that we have with spaces and the people surrounding us. Generally working with series of large-scale images, installation and video, her work uses everyday spaces as natural background.
