We’re bringing together a diverse community of designers, engineers, makers, and more to inspire and build innovative sanitation solutions to eliminate open defecation in rural India. Harnessing the power of a collaborative brain, this sanitation challenge will focus on developing rapid prototypes of potential solutions, imagined and executed by students. In pre-determined groups of 4 individuals, you will come together to hack on two aspects of the open defecation problem we are trying to solve: 1. the toilet design 2. the business model Both of these factors will have to come together to provide a low-cost, sustainable, and scalable solution. The event will be faciliated by Francis Gosselin who will walk us through the design thinking framework to empower each team to rethink, innovate and redesign the toilet! To participate, please send your resume along with a brief note expresssing your interest and what perpective you would bring to the table! Email us at: hackingforsanitation@gmail.com Spots are limited to 30. Act now! BEST DESIGN WILL WIN A PRIZE!
