LocoCity gets the Job Done.

Hot off 2018 street smash releases “CP24” and “Do Sum,” the 20-year-old Eritrean-Canadian artist from Toronto’s downtown neighborhood Bleecker Street is quickly becoming a breakthrough rap star.

Beginning the year with a celebratory note, “Job Done” and “Never Know” are the first singles off LocoCity’s upcoming debut mixtape Save Yourself. The former track is a departure from the gritty, brutalist high-rises of videos past and towards an aspirational future, lounging at his BLKZ estate, with accompanied production from Tilla Beats. While the latter, released this spring, is a mercilessly vulnerable tale of the tribulations taunting the rising artist.

Through just four surging street anthems, LocoCity has quickly gained a following due in part to his talent of merging impassioned, storytelling tales from the block with a surgical sonic style. He’ll be hitting the Bar Le Ritz stage for his debut headlining Montreal show this May.
