Le fameux chef d'orchestre américain, connu pour sa direction auprès de l' Orchestre symphonique de Montréal et des orchestres internationaux les plus prestigieux, fera l'honneur de sa présence au 36e Festival International du Film sur l'Art. • La Mission de Kent Nagano
Enfant, Kent Nagano a été touché et influencé par la passion d’un pédagogue amoureux de musique. Cette passion a orienté sa vie et il cherche à la transmettre à son public, où qu’il soit, en lui tendant constamment la main. Ce film documentaire retrace cette enfance fondatrice à Morro Bay, explore le programme préscolaire « La Musique aux enfants » qu’il a initié dans une école publique de Montréal-Nord et le suit à Hambourg où il dirige La Flûte enchantée avec de jeunes musiciens amateurs avec la même rigueur que la Philharmonie de Hambourg au G20 devant les chefs d’États du monde entier.

MEETING WITH THE MAESTRO KENT NAGANO
The famous American conductor, known for being at the head of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and of the world's finest orchestras, will give us the honour of his presence during the 36th International Festival of Films on Art. Let's have an exceptional discussion with him after the screening of La Mission de Kent Nagano by Nadja Frenz and Inge Kloepfer.
• La Mission de Kent Nagano
As a child, Kent Nagano was touched and influenced by the passion of a music lover. This passion has guided his entire life, and he wants to transmit it to his audience, wherever he is, by constantly reaching his hand. This documentary retraces his founding childhood in Morro Bay, explores the preschool program “Music to children” that he initiated in a public school, Montreal North, and follows him to Hamburg where he directs La Flûte enchantée, accompanied by young amateur musicians with the same rigor as the Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra at the G20, in front of heads of state from around the world.
