Dear friends and dancers,
It's been a minute, but we can now warmly invite you to the next Montreal edition of Home. We're excited to continue building a community with you that celebrates life and music in a positive space, open to all. We hope you will join us for a new chapter in the evolution of our event. Tickets are available for pre-sale and will not be available at the door if capacity is reached beforehand.
Our event is an early evening concept and begins promptly at 6pm. We encourage you to experience the full journey with us!
This event is strictly limited to a safe capacity. Tickets are availble on a first-come basis.
Food and refreshments will be provided during the night. You are also welcome to bring your own.
We are licensed for BYOB, so bring your own bottle of whatever turns you on. Alcohol will not be for sale.
A set number of tables are available if you'd like to make a space for your friends or family.
If going outside for a break, please respect our neighbours on the street.
This is an all-ages event with people from all walks of life, so let’s remain respectful in our consumption - no limit to cutting loose where it counts.
Unfotunately, our event took a brief hiatus after losing our previous space. After months of hunting, we're thrilled to share that we've found a new home base in the Casa d'Italia. This Art Deco landmark was conceived as a home away from home, built by Italian immigrants in the 1930's as a space for celebration and solidarity. With lofty ceilings, hardwood dance floor, stained glass windows and a full acoustic treatment, we know it will be the perfect place to lay our roots. The location is steps away from Jean Talon Metro (orange and blue lines), with a Bixi bike station directly at the front door.
SOUNDIn our mystic quest to build a cocooning "spaceship" of music on the dancefloor, we've moved mountains (precisely 2) to add an additional 1.2 tonnes of immersive horn-loaded sound to our beloved system. This rare Klipsch MCM 1900 speaker set is the jewel of the company's vintage catalogue, and was obtained directly from a Klipsch engineer in Minneapolis, who has lovingly restored it to new condition. It will be powered by new Lab Gruppen amps and join our existing Klipschorns and custom folded-horn subwoofers for our best crack at a dynamic, clear and fully immersive audio setup.
For this edition, we have the good fortune to welcome two Home founders and purveyors of superior vibes, Katie Belle (Barcelona) and Wayne Elliott (USA), in musical hosting for the night.
FOOD & DRINKA moment to highlight snack savant and local treasure Leyenda Lee (Marche Soupson). She and her team will spoil us again with a thoughtful spread of food and drinks through the night. Her love shines through clearly in everything from her kitchen and we are grateful to have her energizing us for the party.
TL;DRLife is short. Let's party.
With Love,
Dave, Kris and the Home Family
