Based on the folk ballad "The Ballad of Barbara Allen." In the remote and reclusive setting of the Smokey Mountains, a witch boy named John has fallen in love with a human girl called Barbara Allen. The forces of the witch-world and the fear of the Mountain People are trying to keep them apart. How can they withstand the forces of fate and human nature?
