Spend the day hanging out in central Montreal. Meet in Old Montreal (Vieux Montreal) at 10:30 a.m.
Leave Montreal whenever you decide (e.g., in the early evening, after an early supper).
We'll finalize logistics closer to the date. We'll also exchange cell numbers for texting purpoes.
Participants are personally responsible for their own transportation from Ottawa to Montreal and back. (I will already be in Montreal that weekend, so I won't be arriving in or leaving Montreal that day.)
If arriving by vehicle, you could park in the Old Port (Vieux Port) area next to Old Montreal.
As noted above, we would meet first in Old Montreal, then check out other neighbourhoods in central Montreal, from among: Chinatown, the Latin Quarter, Ste-Catherine Street, St-Laurent Street, Crescent Street, and my favourite ... the bohemian, trendy Plateau Mont-Royal neighbourhood.
Travel in Montreal would be by foot (so participants should be prepared to walk a reasonable amount). There could one subway ride as well, e.g., if we choose to go to Crescent Street.
