To all the residents of NDG below the tracks and those from above…
As you may have heard, I am planning a reunion. A reunion for all of us who grew up below the tracks, went to school and attended dances at St. Raymond’s and its Church Basement; for those familiar with The Manoir, Lions and Boys Club, Montreal West Town Hall, and all the other little hell holes in NDG where local bands were playing around that time.
This gathering will give us a chance to reunite with long lost friends and enjoy a fantastic evening of schmoozing, reconnecting and sharing old memories and making new ones.
The evening will be highlighted by some local bands of that time as well as a newer, well-known band that will play classic songs from our era.
This will not be a normal evening. There will be no sitting in a chair, waiting for the moment you can go home. There will be no standing still, idly watching others. This evening will be special, and you are invited to let your hair down, help yourselves to some drinks and dance the night away.
In closing I say spread the word and get all our friends to come and have fun celebrating life and the cards we were dealt with.
