About Blue/Orange:
Blue/Orange is a 3-hander set in a London psychiatric hospital in which the action takes place within 24 hours. It is a sardonically comic piece touching on cultural differences and mental illness. Christopher, a young black man, has been arrested in the streets for strange behavior. Following the mandatory 28-day stay, a Darwinian power struggle ensues between his doctor, Bruce, and Bruce’s supervising psychiatrist, Robert, as they clash over the diagnosis and treatment of Christopher. This incendiary tale highlights the issues of a disproportionate number of ethnic minorities in the health care system, and the labels that define a person’s acceptable actions/reactions. What color is an orange? You may think you know the answer, but maybe you don’t. And if you get the answer “wrong”, how will that be interpreted by your surroundings?
