Du 1er au 7 octobre prochain, Montréal accueillera un nouvel événement gastronomique : La Pizza Week ! Au cours de l'événement, la métropole se transformera en véritable champs de bataille culinaire pour sélectionner le restaurant offrant la meilleure pizza en ville!
Inspirée de La Semaine de la Pizza organisée depuis 4 ans par la SDC Petite-Italie Marché Jean-Talon dans la Petite-Italie , La Pizza Week est une création de Fabio Broccoli et Billy Alfonso des Événements Perennial qui ont décidé d'étendre l'événement à l'ensemble de la ville. Le duo de producteurs est aussi à l'origine de deux rendez-vous annuels qui connaissent un succès populaire grandissant : Le LOBSTER CLAM JAM et Le DOG FEST MONTRÉAL.
Au cours de LA PIZZA WEEK, les restaurants participants mèneront une lutte dans une ou deux des 10 catégories avec un (1) prix étant attribué dans chaque catégorie; le prix du public. Déterminé par les votes enregistrés sur www.thepizzaweek.com
Les catégories sont les suivantes :
1. Pâte mince ;
2. « deep dish » ou pan ;
3. Calzone ;
4. Pizza dessert ;
5. Lahma bi ajeen ;
6. Margarita ;
7. Cinq ingrédients et plus ou toute garnie ;
8. Sans gluten ;
9. Végétarienne ;
10. La pizza la plus originale.
La liste complète des restaurants participants ainsi que les promotions offertes durant l’événement seront affichées durant tout le mois d’octobre sur le site officiel de l’événement www.thepizzaweek.com
Tous les restaurants participants seront mis en vedette sur le site web ainsi que sur la Page Facebook de La Pizza Week. Les gagnants seront annoncés lors de la CÉRÉMONIE DE CLÔTURE qui aura lieu au Marché Jean-Talon, au cœur de la Petite-Italie de Montréal. http://www.marchespublics-mtl.com/marches/jean-talon/ Les amateurs de pizza seront conviés à partager leurs découvertes et leurs coups de coeur sur les réseaux sociaux en utilisant le mot-clic #LaPizzaWeek.

Next fall, October 1-7, 2017, Montreal will host a new culinary event: La Pizza Week!
During the first days of October, Greater Montreal will turn into a real battlefield to select the restaurants that offer the best pizza in town!
THE PIZZA WEEK was inspired by "La Semaine De La Pizza" in Little Italy, The Pizza Week is a creation of event producers Fabio Broccoli and Billy Alfonso. Together, they have created and produced the wildly successful events; LOBSTER CLAM JAM and DOG FEST MONTREAL.
LA PIZZA WEEK is a week-long, family-friendly celebration of everyone’s favorite comfort food. Restaurateurs from across the city, will compete for honors and bragging rights in these 10 categories with one (1) prize being awarded in each category; The People’s Choice! Selected by public voting on our website. www.thepizzaweek.com

Winners will be announced at the CLOSING CEREMONIES in Montreal’s historic Jean Talon Market: http://www.marchespublics-mtl.com/en/marches/jean-talon-market/ Members of the public are invited to participate in La Pizza Week by voting for their favorite pizzas and restaurants, sharing their Pizza Pics on Twitter and Instagram with hashtag: #LaPizzaWeek and, of course, feasting on lots and lots of delicious, mouth-watering Montreal pizza!
