Urban Science is a 7-piece live band that hosts the #LECYPHER Thursday night hip-hop & soul jam session. Named the "#2 Meilleure Soirée Récurrente 2015" by Camuz, "#5 Best Hip Hop Act" by CultMTL, and listed in the "Top 5 Rising Stars of the Montreal Music Scene" by TheCultureTrip, Urban Science opened the first 3 nights of the Montreal Jazz Festival 2015 and closed the last 3 of 2016, backed Illa J, and performed at numerous other festivals.

Re-Introducing the conventions of Hip Hop, as if her drive is to explain that we have to remember them - Toronto based emcee and producer, Xolisa, pronounced “Koh-Lee-Sah”, has been creating music for the last 4 years- sharing with the rest of the world her approach to the fundamentals of Hip Hop.
Xolisa is steadily building a distinct foundation through her sound and lyrical ability, one that is becoming all the more recognized and celebrated by her following as she continues to unapologetically spread her messages of self love & evolution, political awareness and spirituality..
