Rich realized that hockey wasn't merely a sport he loved, but a place where, for the first time, he was part of something much larger than himself. He was part of a family.
“I believe that taking control of personal health, and performance, is a universal challenge. My goal is to provide people with the necessary tools not only to be healthy, fit, and productive but to grasp the concepts well enough to become a contagion of proactive health and support.”
Fast forward to a mentorship at Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning, then 9 years coaching hockey players from high-school to the NHL, KHL, NCAA, OHL, BCHL & QMJHL at CoreXcellence. Rich quickly gained experience with the athlete population, business executives, stay-at-home parents, and young enthusiasts. These experiences helped shape his philosophy on movement & performance today.
Since 2014 Rich has been a trusted resource by television viewers around Canada as he shares movement & performance tips and tactics on Breakfast Television Montreal.
For Rich, training his clients to reach peak mental and physical performance, decreasing injury potential, and motivating them through education, are all top priorities. Rich’s unique approach to performance training has been the source of numerous articles published on websites targeted to educating coaches, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts alike.
Rich applies techniques from the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI), Functional Movement Screen (FMS), extensive coursework on Myofascial Techniques, as well as his in-depth work in athletic development for individual athletes and teams. Rich’s training system was designed to increase performance and provides clients with the roadmap they need to exceed their personal goals.
