La renommée chorégraphe et interprète autrichienne Doris Uhlich s’associe avec l’impressionnant Michael Turinsky pour une répartie techno, déroutante et énergétique, devenant une véritable aventure aux frontières de l’attachement et du ravissement. « Nous sommes à la recherche du mouvement qui saura recharger le corps telle une batterie. » À la fois discordant, positif et entraînant, Ravemachine s’inspire des rythmes et des ambiances techno afin d’explorer la rencontre de corps éminemment différents, une forme de recherche par la danse d’un espace d’échange singulier.
Doris Uhlich a étudié la pédagogie de la danse contemporaine au Conservatoire de Vienne. Ses chorégraphies veulent transmettre les états d’énergie dans les corps et l’espace. Danseur en situation de handicap, Michael Turinsky travaille comme théoricien et chorégraphe à Vienne.

Acclaimed Austrian choreographer and performer Doris Uhlich teams up with the formidable Michael Turinsky for a techno-thumping, energetic state-making, wheelchair-lifting repartee that doubles as an adventure into the borderlands of attachment and rapture. “We are looking for movement that charges the body up like a battery.” Affirmative, frictional, and contagious in equal parts, Ravemachine draws on the beats and atmospheres of techno to explore the meeting between two very different bodies, a form of dance-as-research that opens up a singular space of encounter.
Doris Uhlich studied pedagogics for contemporary dance at the Conservatory of Vienna. Her choreographies take up the transmission of energetic states in bodies and space. A teacher at Max Reinhardt Seminar, Uhlich tours widely and recently gave her “more than naked” workshop at Studio 303 in Montreal. Living with a disability, Michael Turinsky lives and works as a theoretician, choreographer and performer in Vienna.
