September 4 to 29, 2018
A PhD candidate in sociology at UQAM, Annabelle Ponsin studies the issues of mobility, immigration and immersion, exploring the ways identities and cities are sculpted by motion. Her residency project, Enter!, which she will create at the Art Gallery over a four-week period, invites you to take part in the creation of a secret hiding place, reflecting the feeling of being at home. To complement to the exhibition Trajectoires, Annabelle Ponsin examines the relationship between habitation and movement: What shapes our life trajectories? Our daily commutes? And what does this subjective mapping of the world say about us and about our relationship with space and what we call "home?" Visit her at the Gallery from September 4 to 29 to learn more.
