The Canadian Arabic Orchestra brings back to life some of the most beautiful songs by three of the greatest figures from the golden years of Arabic music; the legendary composer Riad Al-Sunbati, the poet of love Ahmad Rami and the diva of Arabic song Umm Kulthoum.

THE SHOW
The Canadian Arabic Orchestra (CAO) is a professional Canadian music ensemble founded in 2014 and registered as a not-for-profit organization since April 2015. It is dedicated to connecting audiences with Arabic arts and culture while celebrating the freedom and diversity of Canada’s cultural landscape. Repertoire is drawn from the pan-Arab Diaspora from early Andalusia to the modern Middle East, sometimes with a Western Classical and Jazz twist, striving to bridge Arab-Canadians with their cultural roots while providing exposure to new audiences.
