“It’s like a hackathon but instead, of hacking on your own idea, you hack on a technical challenge presented by a startup. Plus the startups are recruiting!"

What is deCODE?
deCODE is a two-day networking hackathon where talented students are matched with high-growth companies to tackle a technical challenge presented by the company.
*As part of the challenge you own the code, and can keep it as your portfolio! Companies never use what you build post the event. Our philosophy, it's the process of building, not exactly what you build'
This year, deCODE is expanding to TO and MTL, so hack in the comfort of your home city. Or travel if thats your thing, deCODE provides reimbursement for travel/accomodation costs for out of town students.
Montreal - November 11-12
Venue: Mcgill University
Toronto - November 18-19
Venue: Lighthouse Labs
"deCODE is like a Hackathon and a 'chill interview with a startup' had a baby"
-Rowan, deCODE 2015 participant, 3rd year Software Eng., Waterloo
Why?
We don’t believe in traditional job fairs and multi-step applications, instead, skip all of that and put you right there in the middle of the action with high-growth companies!
You get to hack and code with these companies directly! Learn what they're doing, get to know company reps personally, and all the participating companies are recruiting. They can't wait to meet you.
Participating companies include: Shopify, WealthSimple, Neutun Labs. More companies to be announced soon!
deCODE is like a two-day internship where you keep the code afterwards and make connections with all of the companies all in the comfort of your city.
