For the last thirty years, Linda Rutenberg’s one enduring passion has been to create unique photographic images.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, (Canada, US, Mexico and Europe) and can be found in many prestigious collections: the National Gallery of Canada, Agnes Etherington Collection, Standard Life Collection, Banque Nationale Collection and the Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris.
Her award-winning book “Mont Royal-A World Apart” reveals a year’s exploration of the Frederic Law Olmstead Park located in the heart of Montreal. She has also produced eleven books in a series with ECW Press on North American cities. The most recent series, “The Garden at Night—a Photographic Journey” is comprised of three coffee table books: The Garden at Night, After Midnight and The English Garden at Night.
For this presentation, Ms. Rutenberg has selected photos from all of the different books she has authored.
About the speaker: Linda Rutenberg has a BFA in film and music and an MFA in Photography from Concordia University. She has taught photography and worked as a freelance photographer for thirty years.
Currently, she is completing a project entitled The Gaspé Peninsula: Land on the Edge of Time; a three year photographic exploration of winter in the remote Gaspé.
