Basin Fest is an annual festival which aims to capture the DIY spirit of the bands who share Basin Street Studios as their rehearsal space, their recording studio, and their sonic home away from home. Basin Fest is a collective light beam to the cosmos that we hope will go on forever.
Basin is a street in Griffintown where on an average evening, you might hear these bands practicing as you stroll by.
2016 edition will be hosted at Piranha Bar (680 St. Catherine West) on December 17th, 2016 and will feature The Nils, Jon Cohen Experimental, Bucky Harris, Paddle to the Sea, Rival, The Barrel Heads, and When Particles Collide.
Doors are at 7 PM. Admission is $15. Co-presented by CJLO 1690 AM, CKUT 90.3 FM, Jägermeister and Frite Alors. Attendees will receive a 30% discount at Frite Alors the evening of December 17th, 2016 (680 St-Catherine West location only) upon presentation of their Basin Fest 2016 ticket and Jägermeister will be offering guests some surprises as well!
