Une rarissime présentation de performances variées rassemblant des artistes QTBIPOC (Autochtones et personnes racisées Queer et/ou Trans). La soirée est coanimée par Tasheka Lavann, militante des droits basée à Toronto et native d’Antigua-et-Barbuda, et par l’artiste Kama La Mackerel, instigatrice des soirées Gender B(l)ender à Montréal.
Le spectacle met en vedette Shawnee Lee, auteure-compositrice-interprète autochtone basée à Toronto, et Jason Maek & Zaena, un duo de musique électronique de New York. Ces artistes seront joints par Panthera Whyz, artiste de création parlée de la Guadeloupe, Hua Li 化力, chanteuse de R&B et de rap de Montréal, Ms. Athena Holmes, chanteuse de jazz et participante de la 5e saison de La Voix (TVA), Lucas Charlie Rose, artiste hip-hop montréalais d’origine parisienne, House of Mugler, un groupe de danseurs et d’artistes de voguing basé à Toronto, et la slameuse montréalaise Karine. Un exceptionnel spectacle qui vous enchantera!
A rare variety performance event showcasing the excellence of QTBIPOC (Queer and/or Trans Black Indigenous People of Colour) artists. Co-hosts of the evening are Tasheka Levann, a Toronto-based rights activist and Antigua and Barbuda native, and Kama La Mackerel, founder and host of the Gender B(l)ender evenings of Montréal. The show stars Shawnee Lee, Toronto-based aboriginal singer-songwriter, and Jason Maek & Zaena, an electronic music duo from New York City. The impressive line-up also includes Montréal spoken word artist Why'z Panthera, Guadeloupe R&B singer and rapper Hua Li, B.C. jazz vocalist Athena Holmes, who is also a participant in Season 5 of the French-language version of The Voice on the local TVA network, hip-hop artist Lucas Charlie Rose originally from Paris and currently established in Montreal, the House of Mugler, a Toronto-based group of dancers and voguing artists, and Montréal spoken word artist Karine. The island called “Montréal” is known as Tiotia:ke in the language of the Kanien’kehá:ka, and it is a place which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst nations, including the Algonquin people.
