Inspiring young professionals from across Canada The National Young Professionals Summit on the Arts is hosted by Business for the Arts at Montreal’s impressive Arsenal Gallery. The event will bring 100 volunteers in the arts from across Canada to discuss what we can do together for Canada's 150th in 2017. Following our conversations during the day, Paul and Mary-Dailey Desmarais will be hosting a dinner for our 100 delegates at Power corp. Tickets are $150, which includes morning refreshments, lunch, cocktail, and transportation to dinner at Power corp. AGENDA 9:00am – Doors open 9:30am – Opening remarks 9:45am – In conversation with Mélanie Joly, arts philanthropist, and Jan-Fryderyk Pleszcynski, CEO Digital Dimension and Chair of the Mtl Arts Council. Two superstar volunteers in the arts in Montreal who have both won our National Arnold Edinborough Award for volunteerism in the arts. 10:00am – In conversation with some of Canada’s leading Young Professionals in the Arts - What inspires them, and what they value about their involvement in the arts. 10:45am – In conversation with some of Canada’s most recognized business leaders and philanthropists in the arts – How they got involved and what they have learned. 11:30am – Mary-Dailey Desmarais in conversation with Montréal’s leading philanthropists in the visual arts on Art Collecting & the Role of Philanthropy. 12:30pm – LUNCH & Art Talk/Tour with curator of the Arsenal. 2:00pm – Artist’s Panel, moderated by Jan-Fryderyk: The Artist as Entrepreneur/L’artiste comme entrepreneur. 2:30pm-5:00pm – break-out, brain-storm sessions moderated by Ali Shivji.
