THE EVENT
Building on last year’s unprecedented success, Radix: Designer by Nature is proud to announce a new exhibition in 2016. The exhibition will once again take place in Montreal where art, fashion, music, creativity and passion will be on the agenda.
New this year, Radix will be donating to a worthy cause: the Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Clinic of the Montreal Children’s Hospital
THE CAUSE
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. It is estimated that one in every 3,600 children born in Canada has cystic fibrosis. Almost 4,000 Canadian children, adolescents, and adults with cystic fibrosis attend specialized CF clinics, such as the Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Clinic of the Montreal Children’s Hospital. There is no cure.
Vita and Mara Racaniello, nieces to Radix Founder, Sandy Cavallo were 8 months old when they were diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. They have been hospitalized every year since the first diagnosis, except for this year. They undergo treatments three times a day and take medication every-time they eat. The Cystic Fibrosis clinic has helped them manage the disease and despite challenges, they are two happy girls and wear a big smile on their face. Remember, funds raised will help find a cure, so children can thrive with a clean bill of health, not just manage with the disease.
Thank you in advance for your help and support!
