Né à Cuba, basé à Ottawa, le pianiste Miguel de Armas réunit un style puissant et énergique, parfois, l'inspiration semble s'envoler sous ses doigts avant même qu'il n'ait pu les penser pleinement.
Avec l'aide d'une section rythmique (le bassiste Marc Decho, le batteur Michel Medrano et Arien Villegas aux congas), il parvient à garder ses pieds sur terre et générer des moments d'inspiration magique tout au long de leur performance.

Miguel De Armas, the Ottawa based and Cuban born pianist has brought together a powerful and energetic style and at times ideas seem to be flying out from under his fingers almost more quickly than he can fully process them.
With the help of a rhythm team (bassist Marc Decho, drummer Michel Medrano and Arien Villegas on Congas) he manages to keep his feet on the ground and generate lots of inspiring moments during their performance.
MDA Latin Jazz Quartet bring tasty and head turning musical arrangements of the classic Jazz standards, Cuban traditional music as well as from their own.
