Event Description
This seminar will focus on the skills required to design and create an interactive financial model of a company that adheres to the highest industry standards. Participants will learn to forecast a company’s income statement, cash flow statement and balance sheet. The course material includes model design, logic, construction, financial concepts and accounting treatment. Various intermediate and advanced Excel tools along with helpful keyboard shortcuts will also be covered throughout the day.
Topics Include
- Designing and incorporating a company’s financial statements
- Constructing all necessary schedules, including capex, depreciation, working capital, income tax, debt and shareholders’ equity
- Using lookup functions within a financial model to effectively extract information
- Creating a robust bank operating line (revolving credit facility)
- Designing and incorporating a cash sweep for a company’s revolver
- Balancing a company’s balance sheet
