Dans le cadre des Mardis Culturels TD de l'Arsenal Montréal , venez découvrir la programmation du festival Art Souterrain 2016 dans une ambiance festive. Vous pourrez apprécier en avant-première le travail de certains artistes du festival. DJ, VJ, bar, oeuvres d'art et performances vous attendent. Cette soirée sera aussi l’occasion pour La Vitrine culturelle de remettre un prix à un artiste de la programmation du festival qu’ils souhaitent soutenir.

Chun Hua Catherine Dong : The Yellow Umbrella - An Unfinished Conversation
Chun Hua Catherine Dong travaille la performance, la photo et la vidéo. La performance cherche à trouver cette intersection où l’esthétique et le politique se complètent, explorant la manière dont des comportements symboliques et situationnels influent notre perception de certains mouvements sociaux.
Hugues Clément : Dazed
Entre son/image et univers numériques/organiques, l’artiste en nouveaux médias Hugues Clément base son approche sous une exploration libre et personnelle des possibilités numériques, présentée dans différents contextes. Entre kitsch numérique et surréalisme hypnotisant, glitch multiplicatifs et compositions 3D DAZED témoigne de la confusion caractérisant notre époque.
Musique par Pierre Villepelet
Montréalais d'adoption, Pierre Villepelet est intervenu à différents niveaux dans la création musicale. Ayant participé à la création du label français Badance, il officie désormais au sein de The Ants, collectif multidisciplinaire intervenant sur la scène électronique. Voyageant entre plusieurs univers musicaux, après son travail sur INTERFERENCE, une exploration aux frontières de l'ambient, c'est sa deuxième participation aux Mardis Culturels

As part of the TD Cultural Tuesdays come and discover the festival Art Souterrain 2016 programmation in a festive atmosphere. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a preview of some artists’ work. DJ, VJ, bar, art works and performances will be taken place to surprise you. This event will also be the occasion for La Vitrine culturelle to give an award to an artist from the festival that they want to support.

Chun Hua Catherine Dong : The Yellow Umbrella – an Unfinished Conversation
Chun Hua Catherine Dong works with performance art, photography, and video. This performance seeks an intersection where aesthetics and politics ignite each other, exploring how symbolic and situational behaviors impact on our perception in regards to specific social movements and activism.
Hugues Clément : Dazed
Between sound/image and digital/organic universes, new media artist Hugues Clément base his approach on a personal and free exploration of digital possibilities, showcased in various events. Between digital kitsch and hypnotizing surrealism, multiplied glitch and 3D compositions DAZED reflects the confusion characterizing our time.
Music by Pierre Villepelet
Montrealer by adoption, Pierre Villepelet intervenes in mutiple levels of musical creation. After his participation in the creation of french label Badance, he now officiates with The Ants, a multidisciplinary collective of the electronic scene. Traveling through several musical universes and after his work on INTERFERENCE - an exploration on the borders of ambient; it is his second participation at a Cultural Tuesday.
