SambhUya Yoga : CLOSING SATSANG
Saturday, November 26th, 2016 // 3-5pm
Satsang: /’satsaNG’/ noun. indian.
A spiritual discourse or sacred gathering.
It means, being together with Truth.
In closing, and in honor of the seven-week series in asana, exploring the foundations of a path toward enlightenment, Steffi and guest speakers Karine Mousseau, Daniel Hautot, and Chloe Verrier – all graduates of Yoga Sangha – joyfully invite the community to gather for a two-hour satsang that will include a guided meditation (bring your cushions, mats, or blankets), mantras, and an interactive discussion about understanding ancient yogic traditions and teachings, and building a dialogue around the experience of implementing these fundamental principles of balance into the modern human existence.
What’s on the docket?
An easy-to-digest apéritif of the Eight-fold path of yoga and a deep dive into the first two steps Yama and Niyama.
Akin to the Ten Commandments, Yama and Niyama are not so much a list of damnable sins, but rather guidelines to living a balanced and happy existence. Yama being moral restraint and Niyama being personal observances.
Yoga is a practice in balance. As we apply Yama and Niyama in our lives and our hearts, we begin taking action toward dissolving life’s afflictions. Peeling away imbalance to rediscover that you are completely rooted in and inseparable from Truth. And that we are fed by it too.
Come if you're devote. Come if you're curious. Come if you like a challenge.
This event is for free and it's for everyone.
Donations of flowers are welcome.
Also, there will be tea.
(Thanks, DavidsTea!)
