Qu’est-ce que le Carnaval Culinaire?

Le Carnaval Culinaire est une fête internationale d’une journée où tous les citoyens sont invités à créer le restaurant de leurs rêves - dans le lieu et selon la formule qu’ils choisissent. Les participants sont totalement libres et aucune idée est trop farfelue!
Le 12 novembre, on pourra installer un restaurant «pop-up» improvisé dans une ruelle, ou accueillir des gens chez soi. Montez un comptoir à hot-dog dans un parc, un bar à biscuits dans votre cour… C’est l’occasion d’être créatif, de découvrir différentes saveurs, de faire de nouvelles rencontres... et d’égayer l’espace public!
Comment participer:
1. Choisissez ce que vous voulez offrir à manger et/ou boire.
Avez-vous des recettes favorites? Pensez à vos ingrédients, la préparation, etc.
2. Choisissez un lieu pour votre pop-up. Servez depuis votre salon, à une intersection achalandée ou dans un parc!
3. Inscrivez votre pop-up et votre «menu» sur la carte interactive (site web ou via l’application mobile Restaurant Day) www.restaurantday.org/fr
4. Offrez vos délices aux passants (vente ou contribution suggérée)
Restaurant Day est un projet sans but lucratif, promu par des bénévoles.

Restaurant Day is an international food carnival where people are invited to open their dream restaurant for one day. Occurring each season in cities across the globe, Restaurant Day encourages participants to choose the format and location of their pop-up restaurant- no ideas are too wild!
On November 12th, you can set up your own pop-up restaurant in your alleyway, your living room, or your backyard. You can set up a hot-dog and lemonade stand in a park, sell crepes in your alleyway or grilled corn and tacos out of your garage… it’s an occasion to be creative, to share food experiences, discover new flavours and bring people together through the central element of food.
How to participate in Restaurant Day:
1. Choose your menu- do you have a favourite recipe or family dish? Consider your menu, ingredients and preparation.
2. Pick a location for your pop-up restaurant- your living room, a street corner, your backyard, a park, an abandoned lot in your neighbourhood!
3. Sign up your restaurant and your menu on the interactive map at www.restaurantday.org
4. The day of, welcome friends, family, neighbours or passersby to your pop-up! Share your delicious food at fixed prices or voluntary contributions.
