Join us for a dog event unlike any other and support an amazing cause! The first event of its kind in the world, Brandy’s Canine Café and Dog Hair INCluded are hosting “The Barking Dead,” a canine viewing party for premiere of season 7 of AMC’s The Walking Dead, and all to help out an amazing rescue, Refuge Magoo.
Like many rescues, Refuge Magoo is facing many challenges with new regulations coming into place, and they can use all the help they can get! They are a volunteer-run, no-kill shelter that focusses on fostering so that dogs start out with their forever families on the right paw. And like many of us dog lovers out there, these same laws have caused us tremendous sadness and stress, so we all need a little fun.
So from 10am-7pm, Sunday October 23rd, we will be hosting a Zombie Dog Funday and Pitbull Appreciation event with ALL breeds welcome! The day’s events will include:
• A Chantal Levesque Photography zombie dog photo shoot.
• Bobbing for braaaaaaiinnnns.
• Best zombie trick contest.
• Most creative costuming contest.
• Special treats for bully breeds.
• Adoptable pets from Refuge Magoo on site.
Fido Confections will be on hand with braaaaaaains (or cookies) for pups and will be providing viewing attendees with delicious brainy goodness in cake form.
Zombie pet accessories, including bandanas, bowties, collieflowers, leashes and collars will be available from Dog Hair INCluded.
Boutique Geekatorium is providing geeky wares for humans.
Créations Lilipop has created an exclusive collar charm/key chain for the event that you can pre-order now for pick up at the event.
Ms Antimatter has designed an exclusive The Barking Dead tee that will be available for purchase on site.
Every one of these fabulous entrepreneurs is donating a portion of their sales to help Refuge Magoo.
The viewing party will begin at 7pm—this part of the event is ticketed. Single tickets are $25, with couples receiving a discount of $5 per ticket. Tickets for dogs attending the event are free, but limited so buy now!
Your ticket price includes: dinner provided by Maison des Pâtes Fraiches; a limited edition collar charm/key chain, a slice of zombie brain cake for your dog, a zombie snack-fueled viewing of The Walking Dead and The Talking Dead.
