It shows the life of the Jews of Thessaloniki and the drastic changes that come with the implementation of the Nuremberg laws, where everyone is treated with suspicion and forced to choose a side. Much of the action takes place in and around the Greek music club owned by Giorgios’ brother-in-law, the famed composer Vassilis Tsitsanis, whose melodies infuse the film.
Winner of four awards and three nominations at the Hellenic Film Academy Awards and shown in 2017 at the Miami, Palm Beach, Boston and Toronto Jewish Film Festivals.
