Adapté du roman de Philip K. Dick "Les androïdes rêvent-ils de moutons électriques", Blade Runner a mis énormément de temps pour adopter le statut de film ‘’culte’’ et même de chef d'œuvre, notamment après de nouveaux montages approuvés par Ridley Scott. Maintenant considéré comme un classique du cinéma de science-fiction, ce film transcende le genre en offrant une ambiance et un visuel absolument remarquable. Ridley Scott s'impose comme un réalisateur hors pair qui a su mettre en avant une véritable symbolique sans porter atteinte à l'intérêt de l'intrigue.
