Born in Trois Rivieres (Quebec) taking his name from the River Saint-Maurice there in Canada, he moved after one year with he family to Italy in a little town called Reggio Emilia. At the age of 13 his parents buy his first console and he fells in love with electronic music for good. Later having a good approach with the CDJs and Turntables playing at gigs around the country, Maurice moved from mixing music to producing his original tracks. His work was released next to artists like Nu Zau, Plusulaar, Gorbani, Rush Arp, Christian Farais, Sublee, Luca M, Massimo Cassini and many other artists on labels like Wavetech Limited, Sakadat, Resonanz, Sleep is Comercial, Ensis Black, Body Parts, Medicine Records and more. The sound of Maurice is a full expression of colour and darkness minimal-experimental that we will hear more and more in the industry of electronic music.
Dominic Chagnon-Daoust - https://soundcloud.com/dom-c-daoust Daoust's mixes are smooth, deep and hypnotic. Also, his performances are full-filled of energy and progression, with an undeniable presence behind the decks. Since he played around Montreal's town for several years, you might heard his sounds in such places like Piknic Électronik, Sound in Motion Festival(To), Stereobar, Salon Daomé, Comfort Zone(To), Le Bleury, Laïka, Circus Afterhours, Velvet or even at CKUT 90.3fm or RTS.FM shows.
He did few major warm-up duties for artists like SEPH, Hubble, Doubtingthomas, Mike Shannon, Pheek, Billy Dalessandro, Alicia Hush and many other amazing & lovely musicians all over the Mtl's scene.
2009 marks his debut with the organization of the Funk der Ground parties (Club Pearl, mtl); dj/technician for the 2 Panorama Festivals(2010-2011); one of the guys behind the Mini-Malice parties (2011-2013)with his buddy Hooll; Played weekly& monthly at Laïka for several years and managed a residency at Le Bleury, called ''Side by Side'', with his good friend, Zeina. Since July 2016, he joined the radio collective called Lo Signal (CKUT 90.3fm) for a monthly 2hrs electronic music show.
''Since 2015, live hardwares action keeps most of my music times busy. I've started to experiment and work with analog machines, focusing more on live sets; abstract down tempo, dub infused techno, ambient, drone or even playing some hybrid live/dj set. Trying to work with live recording, live cut and a live action kinda production's approach. Jam. Play, Record. Repeat.''
