Le band mélange la voix grave, des fois douce, de Speedy Johnson, des riffs fous de guitariste/synthétiseur, Kevin Moquin, et les rhythmes stupéfiants du bassiste Shaun Ryan et batteur Ram Krishnan pour créer un mélange d'une musique folk, rock n' roll, et psychédèlique.

The Castagne's sont un duo frère/soeur de Montréal -- Philippe Castagne Labelle à la guitare, voix, et basse & Marjolaine Castagne Labelle à la batterie et voix ausssi. Ils ont commencé à jouer ensemble depuis leur enfance au sous-sol chez leurs parents. Ils ont joué plusieurs spectacles dans le monde Underground de Montréal et ils ont aussi fait des enregistrements dans des studios professionels et à la maison au fil des années.

Speedy & The Magic Johnsons recently recorded an album (coming out April 7). The band combines the coarse and occasionally sweet vocals of Speedy Johnson, crazy melodic riffs of guitarist/synth maniac, Kevin Moquin, and the staggering rhythms of bassist Shaun Ryan and drummer Ram Krishnan to create a blend of folk, rock n' roll, and psychedelic music.

The Castagne's are a brother/sister duo straight outta Montreal. Philippe Castagne Labelle is on guitar, vocals, and bass, while sister Marjolaine Castagne Labelle rocks the drums and sings too. They've been playing together ever since they were little 'uns in their parents' basement. Over the years they've played all over the Montreal underground party scene and have worked on recordings in both home and professional studios.
