When it comes to Eastern Canadian Heavy/Alternative music, it is next to impossible to ignore Halifax’s five-piece alternative hardcore outfit SLEEPSHAKER. Following in the footsteps of other Halifax heavy hitters such as A Sight For Sewn Eyes and Risky Business, this hardworking band plans to put Halifax and eastern Canada on the map with their unique brand of alternative hardcore.
SLEEPSHAKER sits at the crossroads of fast-paced aggressive hardcore and emotionally driven melodies. It is a sound that plays off of tension built up by a harsh vocal style and driving guitars only to be relieved into powerful choruses of melody and vocal harmony. This combination sets the band apart from contemporaries in a unique fashion, a sound that will strike many different emotions at once without sacrificing song structure. It makes you want be aggressive and sing along all at the same time. Always looking for ways to push the boundaries of hardcore and alternative music. SLEEPSHAKER is constantly experimenting with new ways to intertwine melody and emotion with aggression.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Barlow are a thrash/hardcore band with rock and roll styling to match. Slow and brooding, the intensity rolls out with ease as they grind your bones to bake their bread. Built on a foundation of heavy roots and unrelenting speed, songs cut through like a knife from minutes to moments, leaving you in a cold sweat wondering, 'what the hell just happened?'. The decency and well being for others are not taken into consideration once deafening drums, gritty bass and screaming guitars come together as one unit, backed up by loathsome vocals, to paint an intimidating picture. Don't blink, never miss a beat, as it may always be your last.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few boys made for the music industry, with heart stopping riffs, thrashing drums and explosive vocals. These guys don't hold back their juvenility from anyone, not even their moms! Each dude with their own separate backgrounds and influences, most of their interests in music mingle to create the tastiest of home made jams, made to spread on that knuckle sandwich with pride. They love to call themselves musicians, and they hope you can flourish under the wing of their super dope mega mosh material.
