On Friday, May 24 join Knafo and Pronto Musique, for the launch of the debut album, No Coincidence. In collaboration with ten renowned Montreal visual artists who created a total of 14 works based on Knafo’s eclectic & soulful songs. The launch takes place at freshly opened restaurant and bar, Joverse, at 52 St-Jacques in Old Montreal.
On May 24, there will be a public “vernissage” from 7-9pm, where the No Coincidence album will be played for the first time. Later in the evening, a special performance by Knafo and the launch of his new music video, for the song Crazy People, directed by Sary Sehnaoui. Night promises to include live sets from renowned Montreal DJ MightyKat, Award-Winning Miguel Graca and Mike Casali of Pronto Musique.
We will be presenting 14 art pieces from 10 artists inspired on the 14 songs of the album.

Bio
Knafo’s new album compiles a decade’s worth of material recorded in his basement instrument-filled studio where Knafo composed, played and recorded every sound, including the Cuban-influenced percussions. With finishing touches by the Juno Award-winning producer/DJ Miguel Graca to assist, the tracks range from full electronic pieces to jazzy, soulful numbers that feature vocals and melodies reflecting Knafo’s wide range of abilities and influences.
Mickael Kanfi is the artist behind Knafo, a solo multi-instrumentalist and father of two, who began his musical career as a drummer in a Montreal indie band, San Citrus. Getting a taste for recording and engineering during the production of San Citrus’ third album, Kanfi decided to switch the stage for the studio to continue exploring and creating electronic music on his own, as Knafo. By day, Mickael Kanfi co-owns and operates one of Canada’s leading and Award-Winning digital advertising agencies, Twist Image.
Founded in 2003 by Miguel Graça and since 2009 teaming up with Dominique Thibault aka DJ MightyKat and Mike Casali, Pronto Musique is more than an independent record label, they are host to many fine artists dedicated to generating progressive work and expanding beyond the confines of your traditional record label.
