The Ashley Hundred (Calgary)
Each member, with their own distinct personality, and vast array of influences that range from Old-Timey Folk to Prog-Rock and Electronic, has given The Ashley Hundred a sonic stew of swirling ambience, soaring harmonies, melodic bass lines, tribal-esque drumming and frenzied banjo picking.
Ol' Crocodile
Ol' Crocodile is a local dark dancing country bluegrass folk band, formed from various musicians from different bands.
Grand Lark
Grand Lark began with two half-brothers collaborating in an effort to make up for lost time and reconnect the family. A close band of friends quickly formed around this little reunion and started working on original material that focused on dynamic songwriting with surprising tempo shifts and a range of different sounds that blend acoustic instruments and electronic devices and simple yet poetic lyrics that inspire a sense of mystery, awe, and humour in our lives and experiences.
The band independently released their EP Afterglow in 2014, a short collection of acoustic tracks from their early sessions. Their newest single, Hysteria’s Fool, was released in 2015.
