For Gaumont’s 120-year anniversary, we host an
exhibit and a movie cycle which account for the history of this outstanding French
production company, whose catalogue is very rich. Since more than an century, significant movies have been made there. From comedy to film noir, along with historical film or
drama, an entire branch of the history of cinema comes to mind. From Feuillade to Pialat, Vigo to Renoir, Godard to Zulawski, the cycle and
the exhibit intertwine rare and essential pieces. The exhibit, which will occupy a large part of our spaces, will highlight first movies as well as production artefacts, movie posters and
an impressive historical timeline.
