Le "Jewazz Project" est un hommage à mon défunt père, l'écrivain, André Schwarz-Bart. Il s'agit d'une interprétation jazz de chants liturgiques juifs, dont beaucoup ont porté l'esprit d'un peuple à travers 5775 ans d'histoire. Ces chansons sont donc émotionnellement chargées à plus d'un titre.
Certains d'entre eux m'ont ému aux larmes durant mon enfance. J'ai sélectionné ceux dont les contours mélodiques se prêteraient à un traitement harmonique tout en ouvrant l'espace à l'improvisation.

The Jewazz Project is a tribute to my late father, the writer, André Schwarz-Bart. It is a jazz interpretation of Jewish liturgical chants, many of which carried the spirit of a people through 5775 years of history. These songs are therefore emotionally charged in more ways than one.
Some of them moved me to tears during my childhood. I selected the ones whose melodic contours would support a harmonic treatment while opening spaces for improvisation.
