AFL Quebec is delighted to announce it will kick off it’s 2015 Men's season with a World Cup Tournament on Sunday May 24th at Vanier College.
The traditional AFL Quebec Men’s Teams of the Wooders, Dockers, Bombers and Demons will be redistributed for one day only to form new teams based on player’s origin!
The Teams (team names to be decided) will be:
- Quebec
- Europe
- Victoria, Western Australian, Tasmania and South Australia
- Commonwealth Team comprising of New South Wales, Capital Territory, Queensland & Northern Territory, New Zealand and Canada (Excluding Quebec).
This tournament, which will also serve as a draft game(s), is open to all players, new and existing.
Can a Rogers brother inspired Victoria heavy team capture World Cup glory, or will it be the French Connection of Team Europe? Don't discount the Commonwealth team who will be out to prove that they can play footy just as good as the traditional footy states. And finally, dismiss L'Equipe de Quebec at your peril, as the home team with home support will be out to cause a few upsets!
There will be a lot of bragging rights at stake so let the trash talking and fun begin!
