REFRACTION - EXHIBITION
With the works of :
Kevin Dubeau, Alban Loosli, Guillaume Pascale
VERNISSAGE: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1ST AT 17H
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday , from 12h to 17h. Except on Thursday.
The fast growing development of cutting-edge information technologies produces a wide range of new experiences. Because the "vision machines" shifts our relationship of the here and now, they generate peculiar events which translates our point of view and renders us isolated. It is no longer about considering the world in an artificially ordered cosmos but to interpret chaos as a lattice in which resides different magnitudes of presence and absence. The present is now more transparent of its accidents and contingencies, everything operates now by refraction. The bending of reality submitted to the accident and its negative.
Our proposal plays with this bending by appropriating plastically this environment by deforming, expanding, merging, to a real unforeseen subject and in which the digital interface literally becomes its liminal space.
