Inspired by bondage motifs in S&M subculture, Luke George et Daniel Kok have selected rope as their object of choice to symbolize rela- tionship dynamics between people, especially between dancers and audience members. The latter can even be initiated into this club, if they so desire. Bound by multi-colour ropes, the dancers float in suspension under harsh lighting. With Bunny, these two artists offer a delicate and original exploration of the subtle rules of domination.
→ Based in Melbourne, Luke George explores new forms of intimacy and connection between the audience and performers. His work is above all collaborative and has been presented in various countries under the form of creation and performance residencies.
Hailing from Singapour, Daniel Kok is a contemporary dancer based in Europe. His two creations Cheerleader of Europe (2013) and PIIGS (2014) have been presented in Australia, Europe and the United States. A fervent believer in the potential of the pole dance, he has represented Singapour at the International Pole Championships in 2013.
