Bloomsday Montreal & Shanks Events & Entertainment invites you to our 1st
Montreal Irish community cultural exhibit.
Forty percent of Québecers have some Irish ancestry. Honouring the history of Irish immigration to Montréal, the festival celebrates Irish Montréal, its culture and literature. Year after year, the Bloomsday Montréal Festival boosts local pride and community spirit, and raises awareness of the diversity and dynamism of culture and identity within our community.
This year we will be showcasing some of the local organizations in a community exhibition where you will be able to meet members of the Irish community, learn about some of the projects which they are currently working on, some historical facts of the roles the Irish have played in our city's history, and learn more about the Bloomsday Festival!
Some of those in attendance will be:
Montreal Irish Monument Park Foundation
Ancient Order of Hibernians of Montreal
Point Saint Charles community Theatre
Montreal Shamrocks GAC
The organizers of the Montreal Bloomsday Festival
and more...
This is a free event to attend and live music by the Bombadils as of 7 pm!
