The exhibition will present recent works by Lise Latreille and Krystel Marois, two Montreal-based photographers whose work circles around themes of memory, geography, absence, and nostalgia. Both Latreille and Marois are interested in the non-event as a subject, and how the act of photographing shifts the focus of memories and desires. They will create a dialogue between their lyrical, deconstructed narratives, which blur lines between documentary and fiction. Specifically, in this exhibition both artists reflect upon places that are at once home and elsewhere.
