Debra came to Montreal in January, 2014. She gave us an amazing four days of learning about birth, pleasure, being a doula, and how to have fun as a doula, and as a birthing mother. We are very lucky to have her here again, this time to teach us about the art and craft of the postpartum doula. MBC Doula School is very happy to be hosting Debra on December 8th to 11th, 2015, to provide a comprehensive Postpartum Doula training that can be used towards the DONA certification, or will stand on its own as a good foundation to practice as a postpartum doula. When you become a DONA certified postpartum doula, you gain a respected credential. DONA International certification means that you have met a high international standard, ensuring mothers and families that you will adhere to the highest standards of conduct and ethics. As a DONA certified postpartum doula, you will be prepared to offer the families you serve evidence-based information and support on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents. Your certification shows families that you are prepared to help them successfully transition into a new family dynamic.
