Camp Parliament for Girls is a leadership program that introduces girls ages 10 to 15 to the parliamentary system of government. Camp will be a lesson on the structure of parliamentarian governments including eligibility for service, political parties and parliamentary elections. This will be followed by a brief study of the nations around the world that have a parliament in place. Camp will culminate with campers forming a parliament to propose then debate and vote on a law. Girl Guides of Canada will receive the Be A Model Citizen badge for participation. All participants will receive a Certificate of Completion for participation.
