experience. For the 10th year running, Maison Hennessy is delighted to announce the launch of its Hennessy artistry musical platform, a unique platform dedicated to mixability.
Hennessy Cognac presents one of Canada's best musical mixers DJ Wristpect, alongside percussionist & drummer JB Allen backed by Montreal's #1 DJ Kwite Sane and the quinessential pop muralist and illustrator artist Tava . These vastly different artists will come together for an exceptional event, which will take place on March 19, 2016 at Hardwax, Montreal.
DJ WRISTPECT: Toronto based Wristpect has established himself as one of North America’s finest open-format DJs. He has been moving crowds worldwide for close to a decade and continues to work alongside some of today's most influential music, lifestyle, fashion, tech and entertainment brands. Known for diversity and depth, Wristpect’s sets are always custom-tailored to the event and audience at hand; his eclectic selection often crosses genres and eras
JB ALLEN: Born in New Jersey and raised in Toronto, he started drumming at the age of 6. Influenced by the likes of The Roots, Jimmy Johnson, Travis Barker and Timbaland, his style of drumming is unlike any other. A phenomenal performer that feeds his energy across an audience like no other.
DJ KWITE SANE: The first time you hear Kwite Sane's New York style jam, cutting and scratching it up, you'll immediately think of Dj Funkmaster Flex, Kid Capri and other party-rockers before him. Kwite Sane creates absolute mayhem on the dancefloor with his extraordinary mixing ability and microphone skills which only few deejays these days have...and that only comes with experience. Kwite Sane is entering his 19th year of being the crowd-pleaser in the club in which he has the amazing ability to mix Hip-Hop, Reggae, R&B and House seamlessly.
TAVA: Not one to shy from the spotlight, he has made waves with his controversial mix of pop art, political banter and high fashion, Tava takes an omnivorous approach to culture both high and low, interacting with its symbolism and cult figures through his tongue-in-cheek style and signature ‘dripping’ visual effect...TAVA has showcased his artworks worldwide, in NYC, Miami, Toronto, Sao Paulo, Dubai and Barcelona to name a few. TAVA is also collaborating on an international level for clients & brands by applying his very own signature aesthetic to products and commercial spaces.
Hennessy is inviting these musicians and artist from radically different genres to share the stage and perform their music and art in the same way that Hennessy assembles its cognacs by combining the best eaux-de-vie from its cellars.
This Montreal event is part of our global series which is to ensure that the tastemakers have an opportunity to feel and experience what Hennessy Cognac & Hardwax MTL have to offer.
Our invited guests will be given a taste of the world of Hennessy mixed drinks using four basic flavours that are the
perfect complement to Hennessy, the world’s best cognac: Hennessy berry, citrus, ginger, and apple.
The artists performing at the Hennessy artistry event come from many different parts of world. Their live performance will be
a seamless mix of different musical genres and art.
