Le Trio BBQ was co-founded in the spring of 2004 by Jean Michel Bérubé and Mathieu Beaudet. First inspired by the late Django Reinhardt, the project soon became the official BBQ tRiO due to this fortunate pair-up with bassist Vincent Quirion!
However, the trio turned into a quartet when singer LadyKate D joined in a year later. Proclaimed “coup de coeur” at the 2006 FGMAT* festival, the band has been touring ever since in Québec, France and Belgium where the band was invited to perform in django’s hometown for its 100th anniversary in 2010!
