OVERVIEW
This Tour is similar to our famous Chianti Tour just more Challenging every day and with a Gran Fondo as part of it to test yourself.
The magnificent medieval walled city of Siena (UNESCO World Heritage Site) will be our base for the 8 days duration of our ITALY CYCLING Chianti Tour. A Villa style 4 star hotel will invite for a good rest, fun social hours, great meals and magnificent views from the Terrace.
We will ride through the hilly quiet Tuscan roads. Expect hills, hills and more hills. The Chianti region is filled with valleys and incredible towns that will take you back in time. We will stop and visit the famous walled medieval town of San Gimignano with its 13 magestic towers; Radda, home of the Chianti Classico Consortium and the host of the Giro d'Italia's 2016 Time Trial Stage; Gaiole in Chianti where you can visit the vintage L'Eroica shop; the tini charming town of San Gusme; Greve in Chianti with its renewed Museo del Vino and wine festivals and many more.
Inviting caffe bars are all over the region. You will have plenty of time and places to enjoy a real espresso and get your pump back. Also you will be invited to try the best gelato in the Siena Province.
During the tour we will have time to visit some vineyards where you will have the opportunity to sample some Chianti wines accompanied with prosciutto, pecorino cheese, salumi and crostini.
The Tour includes a 2 hour visit at the renowned Tuscan and Wine School in Siena, where you will taste and learn about the Tuscan cuisine and famous wines.
Finally you will have the opportunity to ride either the Gran Fondo or Medio Fondo del Gallo Nero in Chianti celebrating more than 300 years of Chianti tradition.
