It all began in 2011, when Simon Denizart packed up and decided to leave his hometown Creteil, a neighborhood in Paris, to continue his musical journey in Montreal, Canada. Once there, while trying to achieve his piano baccalaureat at the Montreal Jazz University, alongside Luc Beaugrand, Dany Roy, he became close to Jeanne Corpataux and Simon Bellemare.
The three musicians were nominated for and granted the 2014 International Festival of Rimouski Public Prize. Further on, they decided to record their first album, « Between two worlds » at Studio 270 with music engineers Serge Rodrigue and Robert Langlois.
Influenced by European jazz and world music, SD3 brings forward a fresh and modern sound, making jazz accessible to everyone.
