Michael started the trombone in high school and quickly decided he was going to make a it a living. A few years later, he is distinguished by participating in several festivals including the Montreal's and Ottawa's Jazz Festivals.
At age 16, he won second place in the "concours bourse d'excellence Desjardins en musique". He is currently studying at the University of Montreal, where he had the chance to play with the most talented musicians from Montreal while studying with the renowned Jean-Nicolas Trottier.
Most recently, Michael won TD Jazz Youth 2015 contest, which allowed him to play at the Ottawa jazz festival. Michael is very active on the Montreal scene which allowed him to play with the big names in music like Michel Donato, Randy Breacker Jim Doxas, Louis-Vincent Hamel and Rachel Therrien among others.
