THE ACORN
10 years? 10 years. Ottawa's exploratory art-folk collective celebrate the decennial anniversary of their critically-acclaimed 2007 album GLORY HOPE MOUNTAIN (GHM), performing it front-to-back with live video projections. The show coincides with a 10th anniversary special edition Double LP re-issue from Paper Bag Records, available at this show in limited quantities. GHM will be performed by The Acorn with special guest members from FET.NAT, Scattered Clouds, The Holy Gasp, and more TBA.

about GLORY HOPE MOUNTAIN
Critically-acclaimed upon its release in 2007, GHM is a Canadian immigrant story. With expansive lyricism and a wide musical palate, it recounts the remarkable life of Gloria Esperanza Montoya, a Honduran refugee who overcame surreal and traumatic odds before fleeing to Montreal, Canada in 1972. Based on months of conversations with her son, Acorn songwriter Rolf-Carlos Klausener, the album bridges art-pop, experimental folk, and the indigenous traditions of Honduras and the Garifuna. It was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize in 2008.

about Dan Misha Goldman
Montreal/LA based, Dan Misha Goldman creates music that is a narcotic buoyancy for unnerving times.
Most recently, Goldman collaborated with Astronaut Chris Hadfield on orchestral arrangements for a record largely recorded in orbit, played guitar and keys in Hydra — the 7 headed Juggernaut featuring Feist/Aroara, and created performance piece “The Treatment” along with Torquil Campbell (Stars) and Daniela Gesundheit (Snowblink) for Toronto’s Luminato Festival.
Most consistently, though, Dan has been the other half of Snowblink, who’ve released three sweetly ethereal records via Arts & Crafts, Fire, and Outside Music. The duo has toured internationally as headliner as well as support for heroins and heroes Feist, Jeff Tweedy, Owen Pallett, and Zammuto (The Books).
At this show, he'll be performing songs from his newest record, Champion of the Afterworld, which was recently released on Forward Music Group
