Join us in the celebration of these well-known classics by Mozart, Beethoven, Liszt and Debussy as we move through each era of music. Yunyi (Nunu) Zhang is currently pursuing a Licentiate Diploma in Piano Performance, from McGill University, studying under the tutelage of Marina Mdivani. Ms. Zhang holds a Master’s of Music degree in Piano Performance, from the University of Western Ontario, under Jean-Paul Bracey, an ARCT Diploma (Honours with Distinction) in Solo Piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto and a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Music Theory and Composition from the Western University, under Gwen Beamish. Native of Owen Sound and Port Elgin, Ontario, Ms. Zhang has competed in numerous ORMTA regional branch competitions, OMFA competitions and has received several scholarships for performance studies. Alongside performing, she also enjoys volunteering time at retirement homes and sharing the joys of music, especially to those who are handicapped or mentally impaired. In demand as a piano and theory teacher, Ms. Zhang has relocated her studio to Montreal and is in the midst of completing her final year at McGill University. Yunyi (Nunu) Zhang poursuit une license en interprétation au piano à l’université McGill sous la tutelle de Marina Mdivani. Mlle Zhang détient une maîtrise en interprétation au piano de la University of Western Ontario, où elle a étudié avec Jean-Paul Bracey, en plus de détenir un diplôme ARCT (avec distinction) en piano solo au Royal Conservatory of Music de Toronto, ainsi qu’un baccalauréat en théorie musicale et composition de la Western University sous la tutelle de Gwen Beamish. Native de Owen Sound et du Port Elgin, en Ontario, Mlle Zhang a participé à de nombreuses éditions des concours régionaux ORMTA et OMFA, et a obtenue plusieurs bourses pour ses études en interprétation. Elle prend plaisir a faire du volontariat dans des résidences pour personnes âgées, et aime partager la joie de la musique avec les personnes handicapées ou souffrant de difficultés mentales. Étant en demande en tant que enseignant en piano et en théorie, Mlle Zhang a réinstallé son studio à Montréal où elle termine présentement sa dernière année en license à l’université McGill.
